Pat Bloodwell, guitarist for Iced Down, died the second day of 2012, and he left behind a lot of friends and family. Nearly every musician in the central Florida area has a Pat story, and all of them are of his friendliness, his musical ability, and his love of music and of life.
One of the Bloodwell family traditions was to have a huge jam on Christmas day with lots of local talent, and to celebrate Pat and what he’s meant to so many people, there will be a gathering at the Winter Park Dexter’s this Sunday to remember him in the best way possible. His brother Matt’s band Megaphone and members of Iced Down will be playing, and My Generation is honored to be taking the stage with Kip Elder with a special song for Pat.
It’s happening Sunday, Feb. 12, from 4 – 8 pm (more details). Bring your own Pat story and help us celebrate his life.
You like it loud?
You like it crazy?
You like it wild?
Then you need to get out to the Post Time Lounge this Friday and Saturday nights and join the madness. It all starts at 9 pm, and you’ll want to bring your dancing shoes. Maybe two or three pair.
Disclaimer: Valentine’s Day is coming up, love is in the air and My Generation can not be held responsible for any spontaneous relationships that may occur during our shows. Rock on.

That was one of the wildest weekends we’ve had in a while, Winter Park!
Dexter’s was crammed tight both nights, the dance floor was hopping, people were screaming, and there were some pretty, pretty people to be seen.
(Well-known fact: My Generation fans are 28% more attractive than fans of other rock bands. That’s just science.)
Happy birthday to all the birthday people who turned out, including our own Jason Jameson!
We had an amazing time and we can’t wait to do it again. Come see us Feb. 10 and 11 at the Post Time Lounge in Longwood and let’s do it louder!

Thank you Lake Mary Dexter’s, all our fans and friends, and possibly the full moon. That was a wild couple of nights and we love it!
Now let’s do it again at the Dexter’s in Winter Park Jan. 20 and 21st, only harder!

It has been an amazing year for us, and we have you to thank for it. We had some great concerts, played for crowds that filled a park or danced in a bar, and had the best time you can imagine doing exactly what we love to do.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Lake Mary Dexters Friday and Saturday and made our final concerts of 2011 some of the craziest we’ve had all year. We’d also like to send our thanks to the various venue owners and managers, waitstaff and bartenders, promoters and DJs and everyone else who let us take over their stage for a night. Big love to our families who understand and support our love of music, and our insanely talented friends who jumped in and shared the light with us, making our concerts even wilder.
And most of all, thank you everyone who ever came out and heard us play. Next year marks our 10th anniversary as a band, with the same five guys, and that’s pretty incredible in this business. We’ve got some big plans for next year, and we hope to see you at many more My Generation concerts.
Happy holidays from My Generation!
We’ve been on a roll lately, playing some great concerts every weekend, and we’re glad we got to see so many of our fans out there.
Don’t miss our last shows of 2011 this weekend at the Lake Mary Dexters. We’re there Friday and Saturday night, starting at 9:30. Get there early for some of Dexter’s excellent food, or just pregame the concert. See you there!

Tomorrow night we’re back at Bar Louie in Orlando. We had such a great time last time, we just had to do it again, only louder.
Bar Louie is on West Sand Lake Road, just off of I-4.
Regular drink specials, good food, bars inside and out, and if you buy a $50 gift card you get in the Mug Club, which gets you $2 drafts of any 12 oz beer in the house for the months of January and February.
Come on by tomorrow night at 9:30 — or get there early to pregame our show. Either way we want to see you out there dancing!

Thank you very much to everyone who came out last night to our 3rd Annual Acoustic Mustache Jam at the Lake Mary Dexters. We had a great time, we got to play a lot of songs we don’t ordinarily do, and we go to show off our manly facial hair. But more importantly, we got to do what we love for people we love. We are truly thankful.
Today we hope you spend your time with your family and loved ones, as we will be, but we want you to know how much we appreciate you. Thank you, from the bottom of our manly hearts.
See you this weekend at Dexters in Winter Park!
It’s happening again and, like our new facial hair, you can’t stop it. My Generation takes the stage at the Lake Mary Dexters again tomorrow night for a rare acoustic jam of our favorite songs, for a very intimate evening.
Thanksgiving is a time for thanks, and we’re very thankful for our friends and fans who let us do what we love to do. The acoustic jam is our way of giving you something special, and we hope you come out and enjoy it.
The concert runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., just the place to unwind with a few hundred of your closest friends right before the holiday. More details here. See you tomorrow night!
